Palm Reading
The future, character, past,
lines to and from – representing
longevity, health, and happiness
So, this palm comes into the bar
and asks the barmaid,
“So what do you see
when you look into me?”
And she replies, “Nothin’
but a bunch o’ lines ‘n’ wrinkles …
Want a brew, or somethin’
to plump, placate, and preserve?”
So, this drunk palm goes home and
sleeps it off – sleepin’ – future – past –
or present – “Nothing to read here…”
says a hungover palm.

Quirky!
Palmistry is a big business here, and the way people take this stuff seriously usually makes me laugh. I know… I shouldn’t judge, but I can’t help myself sometimes.

Yes, I don’t ‘judge’, but I do see the longing in us all to recognize patterns in our lives, whether that be from palm reading, tarot, astrology, iching hexagrams, or Jungian psychology and the like. And to some extent, patterns can be anylized and some even make sense. But for me and I suspect that for most it’s probbably a more or less harmless waste of creative energy… Just my oppinion…

That is probably right. If life could be so predictable then there would be no fun in living it. In the photos you put up, they really do look like the old withered palm of Earth. It’s amazing.

Thanks, sometimes I’m just lucky and can find some of my art/photography that fits with what I’ve written. Other times, not so much…
