Wisdom Of The Ancients
some say, Jesus
some say, Lau Tsu
there’s Muhammad
Plato, Gurgiff, Buddha,
and Confucious too
only to name a few
– and that’s a mouthful –
they say it’s too
ambiguous
wisdom is disguised
where’s the
ambiguity in
living simple lives
it’s an ancient line
life allows no crime
but wisdom in disguise
should make us realize
that what goes up
must come back
down and
many things are
cheaper when
purchased by the
pound
everyone is
innately good
and everyone
innately bad
in reality
morality
is a social
fad
LOOK
the grass so
green
it really is
serene
in full-grown
beauty the
truth of
life is
seen
or not
as the case
may be
depending on
who’s looking
or cooking
or fooking
and who’s
being looked
cooked and
fooked
get it
no
ah well
there you go…

I have gained a new perspective on art now, and really digging your abstract. A wonderful collage of your thoughts put in poetry as well. The line about morality struck me. Every era sees a change in our moral compass, for better or worse… we do seem to be heading somewhere as a civilisation. I don’t know how good or bad our final destination is…

Thanks, Tanmay. I agree with your assessment of civilization, but must admit it’s not looking particularly promising at the moment…
