Another reprised poem from the past year of this blog
Angel food vs Devils food
White vs Chocolate
Bland vs Extraordinary
White vs brown
OR
How about marbled
More like reality
Why is white
associated with
angles, where did
that come from
Why brown
(chocolate)
with devils
Probably the
Christian cult
of Judaism
Alas, God, in
A burning bush
was surely not white
but some color
associated with
burning shrubbery
perhaps yellow
red or blue if hot
enough
Those religious
progenitors were
surely not white
but brown or
olive
only in the
alchemy of
Crusades-era
European
xenophobia
have they
become white
likewise brown
and black must
always be
devils
Where did these
ideas come from
like everything else
our ancestors
invented them
along with all
the pantheons
of all the gods
that have ever
plagued human
kind
but back to the
question
angle food or
devils food
dark as sin
for me
oh shoot
now I’ll have
to deconstruct
sin…

I like both equally.
As for the “sins of our father’s”, people are a product of their time. I think a lot of people judge the actions of our ancestors by today’s standards, which is unfair. In the future, people may look back on us and think we were awful because, for instance, we ate animals.

Yes, I think you’re right, but I don’t see it as a problem. Each generation is an evolutionary step into the future. Certainly, what our primative selves believed has changed as much as our beliefs will become ‘primative’ to future generations… and that’s at least part of what evolution is… (IMHO)…; -)
