Dylan Graduates from Alberta School Of Art And Design 2012
Ian and Sean decided to ride with me (we’d take turns driving, so pretty much non-stop except for gas and food) to Alberta for Dylan’s graduation.
A few days prior to our leaving, Sean came to Asland by way of Greyhound bus. The next leg of our journey was to pick up Ian in Missouri, then on to Calgary and the graduation.
The plan was to spend the nights throughout the graduation weekend at the house where Dylan lived during his senior year. Caitlin had quit the Alberta school and moved back to Cleveland prior to Dylan’s graduation. She didn’t care for the Alberta school’s faculty and coriculum. So she dropped out for a couple of years, then transferred to Emily Carr in Vancouver, but that’s down the road a bit.
Tina and I had been protesting on Judd Plaza, just outside one of our local banks that was adjacent to the plaza, where we had walked the pickett-line for most of the past year, as part of the Occupy movement. Sean walked the line with us for a few hours the day after he arrived in Ashland.
We left the next morning and were in St. Louis, about 5 and a half hours later. We spent that night at Ian’s house and left the next morning for Calgary. We drove up in my ‘05 Hyundai Tiburon Coup, The back seat was pretty cramped, but the three of us made it to the graduation in one piece… more or less…
These photos were taken in Montana on the trip to Calgary.
