In remembrance of what this day represents… and thoroughly considering our current existential outcome probabilities.
A safe and happy holiday to any privileged enough to have had wage-slave time off to enjoy family, friends, a little leisure, and of course, your fireworks…
Today is a celebration of our liberation from the biggest military juggernaut of the 18th and 19th centuries, one of the cruelest colonial monarchies of the time.
Remember that this victory over colonialism and monarchy was hard-won (twice, 1776 and 1812) and is always under assault by those who despise democracy, the ruling classes, who describe it as anarchy.
Over the last few decades, they have packed our Supreme Court with ideologs determined to take us back to monarchy, having already achieved plutacracy.
“Let the buyer beware.” … We’ve already taken long strides down that road. It ends in monarchy and/or a fascist dictatorship… or, more probably, human extinction… Period.
