The Colors Spell of Life

emotions color the
whole-cloth of our lives
is love white, pink, perhaps
blood-red… love
one degree north of hate

is avarice the green
of envy or does green
indicate a love of nature
all fauna yet another
degree of love

anger may be crimson
or perhaps ultraviolet
rage just low energy
segments of the color
spectrum woven in

so we sing the blues
but blue hues also
color the life-protecting
sky deflecting excess
solar energy

yellow for happiness
or sickness depending
on the shade, pigment mix
depends on how we
interpret different shades

each emotion just
another colored thread
woven into the spell
of human pleasure
and misery…

dictates our views
like looking through
multicolored lacey
curtain hung between
us and everyone else
