Salvation Profound Rest

too many bemoan
their experiences
and hardships
as if
they played no
role in the twists
and turns the
highs and lows
of their lives

while lives unfold
just as they must
based on the ‘luck’
of times and places
of our births
our complicity
in and with
space-time currents
seals the deal
ultimately

our salvation
is acceptance
and patience
satisfaction with
what we’ve attempted
and achieved with
continuing efforts
to improve with
the certainty
it’s enough

then
profound
rest
