On The Second Day Of Christmas

My Recumbent Tadpole Trike –LE – Monochrome-Madness

Silverbell Lake Ride On The Second Day Of Christmas

puffy whip cream clouds
on a bright blue sky
not much sun
to dazzle the eye

contrail-etched crescents
and question marks in
scattered patches of blue
provoke questions of intent

statuesque roadrunner
poised in the shoulder brush
darts to the right as
we roll by

trash in the path
under the Grant Rd. bridge
makes the descent
and transit iffy at best

a short rest at
Silverbell Lake
then home again
the long cold ride’s

end

  1. Nice poem.
I saw a guy on one of those trike things in my neighborhood awhile back. Strange looking. Are they comfortable?
Thank you for the visit and follow. I appreciate it.

    • Eleena, thanks for reading and commenting! I always check out the blogs of those who ‘like’ one of my posts. If I like what I see, I generally click to follow. It provides me with interesting reading whenever they post. I look forward to your posts. The trike IS VERY comfortable; much more so than the saddle of any upright bike. I’ve had this one since 2021 and put more than 4,000 miles on it … so far … Again, thanks for reading and commenting…; -)

      • 4,000 miles on the trike alone? You must be a very active person, which I usually am, but currently, I’m dealing with some health issues that keep me fairly sedentary. For now. And I’m gaining weight. 🤬 I’ll be glad when I can resume my usual routine.
I’m happy you enjoyed my little haiku enough to follow. I enjoy your writing as well, Liam, so will be a reoccurring visitor. 😊
