Is it a crime
to speak in rhyme?
I don’t know,
though one would think so
the tide goes in and out
the wind does swoosh
all things change with time
it’s all a cosmic rhyme

let’s make a rhyme
from the end of time
a verse for today
for some prophets say
nigh is doomsday
who has heard the prophet cry
‘the end is near’
the earth will die
but will this armageddon they prophesy
be a war in the conventional way
or will it be a social, political
technical revolution
the computerized way
so let’s make a rhyme

a verse for today
then some prophet may cry
‘the earth will die
tomorrow’.
