Helmet Brims & E-bikes

helmet brims
so large
they seem
out of place

remind me of
firefighter helmets
just missing the
official shield

used to see
one or two
in a whole week
of riding

now they’re worn
by nearly half
the cycling crowd
another fad

like the E-bikes
speeding by
as if the riders’
pedaling actually

moves the bike
rather than the
throttle at their
fingertip

both of these
fads are expensive
not cheap
begs the question

where are the
real cyclist’s
who just love
the exercise
