The Floating World

as daylight brightness subsides
the floating world emerges
from primal darkness with
fairy lights and bright neon

as bawdy sensations and
pleasures unfold in dreamy scenes
religiously moral superstitions
notwithstanding — sin

if there be any such thing as sin
it’s the mental and/or physical
harming or enslavement of ourselves
or any other sentient being(s) – selah

the floating world emerges as the
the harsh light of day subsides
primal desires float to the surface
of our more liberated, less superstitious

selves
