On/Off switch
Where water or
Electrons flow
Or not
Where brainwaves
Flow or not
One is breathing
Or not
Where one is alive
Or not

Do you want
This person to
Represent you
Yes or no
Presupposes a
Hierarchy of
Priorities
Economic
Philosophic
Civic
Boiled down to
Yes or no

But most of
Life’s decisions and
Communications are
Not simple
Anything but

So, the craving for
Simplicity is
No more than
A wishful thought
A human thought
That is seldom
Wrought
In reality
