Intentional ignorance.

Oh, I understand why one would prefer to be ignorant of, or on, any given topic. Life certainly appears to be simpler, perhaps even blissfully so, if one lacks an understanding of its pitfalls, mechanics, causes, and inevitable outcomes. Makes it easier to convince oneself of our blamelessness if, after all, we didn’t know any better… (so to speak)

But it’s not simpler, not really, just not or (mis) understood.

That allows one to fain innocence of whatever vile or reprehensible actions and outcomes his/her ignorance wittingly or unwittingly enables, by not educating oneself to and in all endeavors to which one is involved, or merely witnesses.

So yes, it’s intentional ignorance that bothers me…

And here, it gets plitical, as the ruling elites ‘intentionally’ do their best to keep us (the masses) as ‘ignorant’ and confused as possible. But only a slight tweaking of the meaning of ‘intentionally ignorant’…
