Not Every Day Is A Good Day

Not every ride is a good ride
Woke up this morning feeling
Not quite myself, but
On the less-than side

Pumped up the rear tire
Obviously needed air
Right front was a little soft
But seemed hard enough

As we rode out this humid morn
And a couple of oversized skinks
Skanked the path ahead
My stomach felt off kilter

By the time we reached
One of the midway trailheads
The right front was VERY soft
So, I pulled in to add some air

But none would stay in
Flipped the trike on its side
Dugout my tire levers and
Ripped the flat innertube out

Took much longer than I’d thought
As my stomach and overall
Mood got much worse
So, took a rest before we left

The trip home was uneventful
Just pleased to put my bike away
To ride another day
‘Twill be a better day
