fake info run amuck
daily inscrewtables
keep us confused
outrage-filled
by algorithms programed
for clicks from hatred
outrage and spectacle
so we don’t know if
we’re coming or going

the cynical strategy
from behind the
secret vail by those
pulling the strings
flapping the jaws
of their puppets
displayed in the
misinformed media
intentional or not
while that heavy
opaque curtain
protects the villains
running this authoritarian
ka-ka dance

it’s an old strategy
says old Sun Tsu
keep your enemies
divided and confused

as new AI bots
step in to help
the ruling classes
maintain their inhumane
greedy iron grip
on the peoples and
gifts of Mother Earth

the pendulum swings
even though changing things
seem the same
in infamy and waste
with humanity’s apparent
loss of Sapiens’ basic gift
its conversations abilities
and critical thought
