Last Thursday In August – Tucson Loop
Rode out under a
Marbled sky
And no breezes
Blowing by
Only that created
By my
Pumping feet and thighs
Mountains east and west
Seated in vailing mist
While in the west
The Three Sisters
Peaks over the
Tucson basin’s
Beautiful desert views
And barrio sprawls
Backdrop to August’s
Last Thursday morning
Loop ride

I’ve been in Arizona a few times, Tucson once. I like the landscape and weather there. I’ve thought about moving there someday…

If you’re serious, I wouldn’t wait too long … climate change is affecting the whole region. This is, so far, the dryest mansoon season on record, adding to the already decades long drought.
But on a brighter note, I used to suffer bad systems of bronchitis at least a couple of times a year back in OH and also in KY. Since moving here a few years ago, I seldom have any problems worse than my dust allergy’s occasional flare-up… My companion and I will probably finish out retirement here, though we do like Kingman and Lake Havasu as well.

My husband has sever COPD and is on oxygen 24/7…he couldn’t deal with the altitude. Maybe someday.
