Late Summer Morning Ride
Rolled out under a white and gray
Mostly cloudy sky
Not much of the animal kingdom
Out on display
A couple of Prairie dog pups
Skittered in the margins
A few ground squirrels
Scampered along bridge supports
Also, a few ‘spandex weenies’
Asserting their imperious ‘right of way’
By the homeward bound leg
Most clouds had given way
To deep blue skies
And scorching sunshine
Resting now, my feet propped up
Sipping ice water from a tall frosty
glass cup

“Spandex weenies”….lol. You rarely see one of those in my neighborhood. Mostly walkers.
Interesting image. I’ve never tried digital art. Do you need software for it. And if so, what do you use?

It’s my understanding that racing cyclists from all over the world come here to train, not only on the Loop, but up and down Mt. Lemon and others; mountian ranges ring Tucson.
As for digital art, I’m currently using an app from the Samsung app store (PENUP) since I’m using a Samsung tablet for my writing and digital art. But there are plenty of other apps out there in the Google app store, too. You probably need to try out a few different ones to see which are the most convenient for you…; -)

I have an iPad, so I’ll check out the Apple Store. It would be nice if the Android and IOS operating systems were compatible with each other.

I agree, and perhaps someday they will. But from the beginning, Apple (Macintosh) intentionally made systems incompatible with the DOS systems of IBM that I learned to program early on in my career and Microsoft Windows that I used most of time from then on. When I was using the computer labs at Hiram, all the machines were Apple. I found them irritating because I had so little control over them (from a programming perspective). I eventually mastered them when my ex was using them to publish the SWE magazine (Society of Women Engineers). She became their Editor In Chief before we divorced. They sent a trainer to teach her how to layout and publish on her new MAC system. I sat in on her classes to help her once the lessons were over, since I had considerable previous computer experience. At that time, she had none. For her first few issues, I did most of the layout on the MAC machine for her. She soon got the hang of it and took it over. I went on to other things with Windows and HP Basic programming with the intallation, operating, and maintenance manuals I was working on pretty much till my retirement; plus all the other stuff I’ve already written about…; -)

The first Apple product I bought way back when was an iPad. Later on, I bought an iPhone since I was familiar with the layout. Later still, I bought an iPad mini to read on when in bed. All three had to have a different charging cord. It hasn’t been that long ago, under pressure, that they began making all their products use the same charging port.
My desktop is an HP that runs Windows 11.
I’m not anywhere as experienced as you with computers, but I’ve helped a lot of friends and family who had problems with their phones or tablets. I could usually straighten things out no matter if they ran IOS or Android. I like learning new things, unlike a lot of my peers.
