Another Bright November Morning

rode out through long shadows
from the southeastern sunrise
a bright blue dome overhead

drone of stop and go
morning rush hour
a white noise background
almost

but looping the Loop
with the riverbed’s
lush green trees and shrubs
goes a long way to sooth
as Brittlebush blossoms
casually wave in
the light breeze, too

light traffic on the path today
not many out to
exercise or play
so I’ll let it go
that’s all I have to say
