What is sin
a fopaux
intentional or not
another kind of
transgression
egregious or not
a crime against
social individual
murder theft
deceit

in other words
is it putting
yourself first
in all things
survival of
the fittest
beating breaking
the system
playing by
your own or
no rules

sin is a word
an idea some find
useful and appealing
in feeling better
about themselves
for their mis-perceived
conceived
lack thereof
and therefore
more worthy of
life’s gifts and
pleasures
rationalizations
for turning
blind eyes to
perils and plights
of the ‘less’ in
their view
among us

blueprint of
hierarchy
a cast system
for the necessities
and pleasures
accrued during
our stint on
starship Earth
not an equal
opportunity
endeavor
ever
