The Primordial Ooze

The Primordial Ooze

darkness is growing
and I’m old
so what to do
one thing only
fight the growing dark
strike a spark
a match a candle
light a bonfire

spark it wherever
the tinder lies
make daily choices
that brighten
not darken
our collective
futures

don’t be deceived
all actions have impacts
mostly somewhere in between
ever brighter futures
and dystopian dreams
dark superstitions
reverse evolution
sliding back
into the primordial
ooze

    • You have a good memory…; -)
But this is an edited, reorganized, slightly shortened version; same title because I like that phrase. I archived the other one along with the comments. I want readers to see it fresh. The basic subject of this and the other populate many of my poems and meditations. You’ll find that my next couple of posts have a similar history of editing and revision…; -)

    • Scratch that… I don’t know. I answered a comment from you about Dylan Thomas and abstracts, but they are gone. I have no idea what happened to them… That is not what I was referring to in my response above… I don’t even know where to start looking…; -|

      • I found it. Somehow, my comment ended up on your original post. I think it was at the bottom of your post, featured with a couple more of yours to check out, and I accidentally clicked on it. I didn’t notice the comments there were older until I figured out what had happened.
