Save Our VA Tucson Protest 4/3/26 – “Good Friday”…

Three of us held the line again at the Ajo gate of the Tucson VA for the morning shift change. There were also about a dozen protestors ouside the 6th Ave. gate.

But for a few pale cloud-smudges on the southern horizon, the sky was pristine, and the rising sun was bright. No redshift on cloud banks today, just intense whitehot light in our eyes, blinding anyone who needed to travel easterly…

We had, to the best of my reckoning, about the same response percentage as last week, between 75% and 85%. We had 3 definite negatives this time, that I saw anyway,.. ‘flying, bouncing birds’…; -)~ Just shook my head, laughing.

It amazes me how people who are vets, their families, and the VA staff who provide services for them can be so conditioned as to be against those demonstrating in favor of the obligation of medical and psychiatric care for our military vets, who served, with the promise of that care after their service was concluded… Sometimes, I find it just ‘jaw-dropping’. Talk about cognitive dissonance…
