A Morning Ride In Early April – Tucson Loop
a hazy sun burned through gossamer clouds
about eleven o’clock in the eastern sky
while iridescent blue backdropped
the Tucson Mountains not far west
started slow, only a roadrunner, a cottontail, and a skink
then, almost too quickly, the crowds emerged
spandex weinies, walkers, and joggers galore
hardly any space between the end-to-end crowds
by the time we got back home
sweaty and exhausted to the bone
relieved to put my Catrike away
and I don’t have anything else to say
