Don’t Pick Up That Phone

Winter Landscape –LE – Watercolor on multimedia paper 6×9″

This is my response to all the cold-calls and messages I recieve, even though I’m on the ‘Natioanl Don’t Call Register’… Ha! What a joke…

Don’t Pick Up That Phone

rather pick-up sticks
or hexagram wands
or telegrams
instructions for hallucinations
delusions of grandeur
conjure objects of desire
or the lack thereof, whereof
while writing trivial essays
about wealth and gain
at the expense
of the sane and insane
depending on my
contradictory points of view
rather than so natural
a born leader’s perspectives
don’t pick up that phone
if you’d rather… NOT

  1. Ooh! Pick up sticks. That brings back some fond memories. Hallucinations and delusions of grandeur too, but not of the fond kind.

I like your sense of humour. Also, I can read your poems in so many different ways. The meaning changes each time. I love that.
