Wisdom’s Ancient Wells
wells of wisdom
how many are there
only one
or
one for each culture
civilization
creed or
persuation
how many ‘truths’
are there
only one
who decides
“whichever interpretation
prevails at a given time
is a function of power
and not truth.” –Nietzsche
does it not benefit us
to reexamine
rethink our sourses
our fundimentals
from time to time
a healthy skepticism to
help avoid the
entropy of hubris
as the old Taoist saying
sugests concerning the
undefinable tao or ultimate truth/s
‘those who know don’t say and
those who say don’t know’
so which ‘power’
defines doubt or
skepticism as a negative
skepticsim is essential on
the road to wisdom’s wells
initiated by nagging doubts
large or small ticling the back
corners of the mind
creates positively skeptical
tastebuds sipping
from widom’s wells
should we not be
skeptics listening to the
‘wisdom’ of all ‘gurus’
and all self or establishment
proclaimed speakers
or masters of the
ancient wells
of wisdom
