Lynn – Part 6

My brother, Guy, came up for a visit from OU in Athens, OH. He had been discharged from the Air Force earlier that year and was going to school on the G.I. Bill. One of his classes was beginning photography, and we were out in the front yard setting up different shots for him. He was taking pictures of us with the cheap plastic camera that he was required to use for his class work. I was holding Kristen, and we were standing on the front sidewalk.

Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a bicycle heading straight for us. The girl riding it barely saw us in time and swerved enough to miss us, but it was close. Little did I know that a few years down the road, that girl would become my second wife. More about that later…

We were there for about a year, and Lynn decided that we should move again. This time one of her friends told her about a farmhouse for rent in Russia Township, on Butternut Ridge Rd., just outside Oberlin, OH, near the farmhouse, rented by Dave and Dee Dee E., and Dee Dee’s brother, fellow members of the Way. The farmhouse and outbuildings were set on 10 acres of the 140-acre farm, of which 90 acres were woods. The rest of the land was rented out to a local farmer who grew soybeans on it.

  1. Hmmm…the second wife enters the picture, however briefly. I’m already wondering about “later”. 😊
Interesting artwork. I’ve never delved into digital artwork, but have played around with AI generated art. It’s interesting to see what it makes using keywords you put in.
I absolutely love the bridge photo, Liam. ❤️ Would you mind if I take a screenshot of it, maybe paint it someday?

    • There will be a few more posts before we meet her 😊
Thank you, Kat! Certainly, copy/screen-shot, whatever… do as you like with it. And, if you do a painting, I’d love to see it. That was originally a color photo that I photoshopped mercilessly to get that final effect.
I have never tried to do anything with AI generated art. But I do like dabbling with the digital app. I’m sure it’s just a ‘phase’ I’m going through at the moment…; -)
