Easily Fatigued In My Dotage

Facetiously asked if I fatigue easily in my ‘dotage’, I replied, ‘you have no idea [just how easily]’. The fact is that I’m fatigued by almost everything in the current zeitgeist. It’s extremely tiring, enduring the authoritarian entrenchment of the world’s socio-psychopaths, the world’s ruling classes, and their exploitation of anything/one-everything/one.

I can muster little hope for future generations (even those of the present) if current social/political trends continue, much less maintaining the habitat conditions necessary to sustain any sentient life. I suspect the earth is already in the process of assigning this planet’s current apex predators (that’s us) to extinction, the proverbial ‘dust-bin of history’. And that presupposes there will be anyone left to read it… which I strongly doubt. …

This is not pessimism nor cynicism, but an honest assessment of what appears to be happening any/everywhere I look.

Yes, I suppose it’s possible that our current, youngest generation will come into power and actually work at fixing the problems. But I’m not holding my breath… The grip of the owner class appears to be unbreakable since they control the best (and worst) governments money can buy.
