Save Our VA Protest 9/26/25

There were 7 or of us for this moning’s protest. It was looking like we might get wet for a while, but the rains stayed away … again.

Of those I could see through their car windows, somewhere between 80 and 90% of those changing shifts responded positively.

Of course, there were a few (less than one percent) who responded with their middle finger and a couple of FUs…

Those that didn’t respond, I suspect, are still in denial, or hoping everything will just work itself out without them having to put themselves out there, get involved … more’s the pitty.

I believe that we’re rapidly reaching the tipping point for fundamental social change … one way or the other. Unfortunately,  there’s no way to predict which way the social pendulum will swing. So, keep your fingers crossed…; -)

  1. I don’t have a clue as to which way it will swing, but something’s gotta give to get us on the right track. But how will we ever reach a consensus of what that right track is? Too much hate and vitriol from every quarter. Too much thirst for power. Too much greed. Too much entitlement. I think we’re f@#%*d.

    • Yes, everything you’re concerned about is real and worrying to me, too. But there’s a feeling in the air. I notice it when I’m out protesting. More and more people are responding positively to our presence, whether at the VA or the No Kings protests or other places we’ve been present, like our ‘No Project Blue’ protests to stop Tucson from building a giant data center, sponsored by Amazon that would use unfathomable amounts of water that Arizona just doesn’t have, plus passing the cost of a tripling of electric infrastructure on to TEP’s residential customers… I can’t predict which way the social sentiment will eventually turn, but I know we can’t continue with things the way they are. Yes, change is scary, especially when we don’t fully understand what it will entail. But, deep down, I do feel optimistic… again, just not overly so…; -)
