Two types of water reclamation in Tucson, Solar and Wetlands…
Solar Water Reclamation
Sparkling
reclaimed water
slowly flows north
in the edge of
the otherwise
dry lower
Santa Cruz
then to the
Gila and eventually
the Colorado
sun glares off
acres of
solar array
powering
the reclaiming
engines
disgorging the
reclaimed
reconstituted
amniotic fluid
of life
as predator
and prey
observe from
shadow-gorged
hidey-holes and
shade-camouflaged
creviced walls
and I stare
at the array
wondering
how it got
this way
dry riverbeds
poisoned blue skies
plastic-laced food
synthetic body-parts
and lies, lies, lies
but of course
we do know the
hows and whys
as cognitive
dissonance
clouds our minds

We know why…people are ignorant, stupid, and lazy. And throw in a dish of crazy. 🤪
Liam, am I mistaken or is the drawing of the Statue of Liberty?
And the photo…simply stunning!

And I’m pleased you like my photo. It’s on the east side of the Santa Cruz just south of El Camino del Cerro…; -)

I hope you don’t mind, but I saved your photo on my computer in a folder titled “possible future paintings”. When my painting muse returns, I’ll study it to see if I think it’s photo I can paint. But please speak up if you’d rather I not steal it. 😊

Yes, we do…
When I’m doing drawing like the one here, my subconscious plays into it as much as any conscious rendering. So, yes, I can see where one might see Liberty. But consciously, I was just flowing around the Tai-chi simbols for yin and yang on a fluid surface and partially emerging 3-D from it…; -)
