I’m Perplexed

I’m Perplexed

I’ve tried to keep my rhetoric confined to our ongoing class warfare of the last few decades. But the situation has escalated to the point that rampant bigotry has become national policy.

Where federal ‘security’ forces (ICE, USCBP, the National Gurard, etc) are mudering American citizens with impunity, violating the first and fouth amendments to our constitution (agian, with impunity). It should be disturbing to anyone who believes in a free and open society, what we’ve always been told we have in this country.

Nothing could be farther from the truth. We’ve become what we used call poor, colonized countries, ‘third-world’, with an autocratic would-be dictator and an administration, courts, and legislative bodies that support him. All freedom-loving Americans should be perplexed as well.

This has to end. I think the time is right for a general stike. The only way to get these bullies to back off is to hit them where it hurts the most, their wallets and investments. Shut the economy down.

  1. As you probably knew I would, I disagree, Liam. Not about the American citizens being shot, both a tragedy, but none of this ongoing rioting (not peaceful protests) which is the root cause of their deaths, would have happened if Biden hadn’t opened our borders. The flood of illegal aliens into our country has to be dealt with. And sanctuary cities and states make things worse by not turning over criminal illegals to ICE while they are in custody, forcing ICE to hunt them down on the streets, which brings out indoctrinated people on the far left to have hissy-fits and incite violence to the people charged with enforcing FEDERL LAW. Our country cannot take in all the world’s impoverished and persecuted people. If we did, our country would become a place even you wouldn’t want to live in. And in case you don’t know, Obama deported more people than Trump has. The difference is, most were stopped at our Southern border before they disappeared into our country. We could go on and on about ICE’s tactics, but if they had been allowed to do their job unobstructed, both tragedies would have never happened. People seem to forget that anyone who enters our country without being allowed to are breaking a federal law, thus are criminals. And it’s a slap in the face to the people who have applied to come into our country legally.

    • Sorry, but I hadn’t considered how anyone might respond to my perplexity. I simply wrote down what I was/am feeling about the imminent end of our socalled ‘open society’, the curtailing of our first and fourth amendment rights under the machinations of a would-be king.

Pointing fingers at Obama and Biden doesn’t change those facts. I didn’t like either of their immigration policies. Neither party has done anything to beneficially reform immigration policy while they held the reins of power, just allowed the situation to get progressively worse for their own political propaganda points. Not to mention that the flood of immigrants was beneficial to those who would gladly hire them because illegal immigrants would have no power to ensure fair payment for services (or for that matter, payment at all), no one to complain to, no legal way to be treated fairly as workers.

As for ‘Federal Law’… ICE and the rest of the ‘brown-shirts’ operate under ‘secret memos’ and orders from HLS and our ‘dear leader’s’ proclamations, including snatching American citizens off the streets of our cities, sending them to detention sites and to blacksite prisons in foreign countries.

The ‘violence’ you speak of, in every instance, was initiated by those same thugs, frequently because they resented being videoed as they committed atrocities on US citizens engaged in their first amendment rights… to protest. Those protests were ‘peaceful’ until ‘dear leader’s’ goons provoked violence. If we allow ICE and the other goons to ‘do their job unobstructed, there’d be many more fourth and first amendment violations.

I am NOT a proponent of violence, but the proponents of the current autocracy have no such scruples.
