Badlands Preacher

Badlands Preacher

He prowls the desert sands
Soundlessly ambling between
Saguaro, Agaves, and sand-devils

He’s a sixth sense for morality
A gun for the wicked
A crucifix his holy license

The sun beats down
He stalks an evil den
But a mirage in the end

    • Now that you mention it, I can see it. I read that series, I don’t know, maybe ten years ago… and I did enjoy it for the most part, though the protagonist went down a few ‘rabit holes’ I wasn’t particularly interested in. That’s one of the problems I have with King … ‘rabit holes’ … plus, I’m not a big fan of ‘psychological thrillers’ anyway… a little too depressing for me to actually ‘enjoy’ … as entertainment… more like ‘work’ slogging through them…; -)

      • To each his own.
I’m currently reading a series of short novels titled “Confessions of a Trash Droid”. I don’t know if you ever watched the tv series Futurama, but Tedd in the Droid books reminds me of Bender from Futurama.
