Words Are Spells
from their beginnings
words painted mental images
directed actions
manipulated emotions
since primal beginnings
many languages were born
lived and died
no longer spoken nor replied
and now, new words added
some transformed, reinvented
while others are out of favor
relegated to symbols archaic
modern or ancient
they drive civilizations and
individuals with vested visions
words are power
spells, what frequently sells

Just like everything, words come and go, fall in and out of favor. There’s a few used today that need to go, IMHO.
