Four of us anchored the line at the Ajo gate of the Tucson VA this morning from 6:30-8:30am for the shift change.
Response rate was similar to the last few weeks, with somewhere between 75%-85%, with 3 very observable negatives. There was a definite head skake of ‘no’, a bouncing ‘bird’, and a ‘get a life’ from one, who was either going in for services or to work… The cognitive dissonance of these individuals is astounding! What elese can I say. Whether they are looking to be serviced or going toΒ work there. It’s mind-boggling how they can be against people protesting the intentional erosion and defunding, the push to privatize the healthcare of our veterans.

I hope your government puts veterans’ wellbeing first and reduce red tapes to prevent funding lost due to too many middle men.

Unfortunately, the opposite is true. They are defunding and cutting services in an attempt to privatize this federal program to profit (with our taxpayer dollars) their crooked cronies on Wall Street (the industrial insurance and medical –private hospitals– complexes). That’s the reason for our protests. All adminstration for the last 40 years –at least– both Republican and Democrat, but especially Repulican…; -)
