Last Saturday Morning Ride In April
Sun sat at about 40° off the horizon
Hazy through the folds of clouds
Like rippled veils overhead
Tree shadows soft and indistinct
A couple of Roadrunners crossed
Our path, along with a few
Morning doves and Sparrows
That took to the sky as we road by
There was a family of Prairie Dogs
Standing in a line just off the shoulder
Like the Three Bears
But in miniature…
Way too many ‘spandex weenies’
Weaving in and out, playing chicane
Along with a few joggers and leisure walkers
On this April morn in hazy sunshine
Archer Lake was serene
And the arches at a rest-stop
In a Santa Cruz Park Trail Head
Were picturesque, always marks the spot
Twenty-one miles start to finish
Three hours in the hazy sun
Ready for refreshments and a nap
Once sorting bike-trapping was done

Sounds like an enjoyable ride…like something I’d enjoy doing.
And the photos of the arches…wonderful. Love their design and colors.

I think you would. There are interesting features like them throughout the Tucson Loop…; -)
